"The President upon consultation with the Executive Board will determine if the activity will be cancelled due to inclement weather. The President will call the General Chairperson as well as the Vice President to begin the emergency phone chain. The Public Relations manager will notify all radio stations of the cancellation. In case of closure of a participating school district, all events will be postponed. In the event of a school delay, all events will continue as scheduled. Should after school activities be cancelled, all events on that day will be cancelled. Rehearsals will run in an amended format on the following day. See the O.C.M.E.A website for detailed contingency plans. If inclement weather is imminent, discuss the possibility of cancellation with the President and conductor on Thursday evening prior to the festival. All decisions will be made by the middle of the school day, when possible."
